Hello Winter
Welcome to winter
It’s still officially Fall, says so on the calendar, but because the weather is dictating otherwise, I will be the first to say, Welcome to Winter. Did you notice the lack of excitement in my voice? My favorite seasons are Spring and Summer. I’m just not one to appreciate being cold. But I have decided to retire the complainer in me and embrace winter for what it is.

Holiday Tablescape
Setting a table is one of my absolute FAVORITE joys. Its been this way my entire life. (I also dabbled in event planning for a while but that’s a story for another time). I just get totally immersed in pulling from my surroundings and bringing the table to life. (Imagine seeing me running around the garden with sheers in my hand). Which is why I love to have decor options on hand to pull from. The fun part of collecting pieces is the ability to reuse them in a different way next time.

Design in Prayer
In times of despair, in times of gratitude and celebration but really any time one yearns connection, it is a time for prayer.

Hotel Hopping

A Woven Experience
Planning another trip to Mexico, surprise surprise, and I’m in the process of checking out possible hotels to stay in. I first visited Mexico one year ago and have been there 4 times since.

Photoshoot Day
There's something about photoshoot day that I have always loved. It's like this energetic surge and intensity of design and inspiration.

Trends: A review on some current design trends and how to use them.
4 years ago I designed a master bedroom with a plaster finish wall. Limewash had not yet been popularized but I found this finish to be so warm and inviting, soft, feminine and a great backdrop for any design.

My Love For Terracotta
I looked through my closet recently, you know, new season, what do I have that I still love, what's going to be my look this winter. And I'm seeing all this terracotta.
