A Woven Experience

Planning another trip to Mexico (surprise surprise) and I’m in the process of checking out possible hotels to stay in. I first visited Mexico one year ago and have been there 4 times since. I love it, my soul feels alive and my eyes get to feast on design goodies. I love the palapa roofs you find all over, that warm woven look is so inviting. But my favorite way of using wovens is when its combined with a minimal serene backdrop. So a blank canvas with the woven worked in. I appreciate when the backdrop colors are cool and that, contrasted with the woven creates a balanced space.
We are actually using this concept on a few projects right now. Wovens are definitely something to incorporate in any space, the plus being that you get a big bank for your buck. Take for example a simple white room. A single woven pendant is going to absolutely give you an upgrade. Here are some of my favorites wovens you can try.
